I happened to watch a documentary program introducing of Cologne, Germany on TV. But what happened in the following week was really more exciting. Our class was to be chosen as the one to have video exchanges
with a class of a senior high school in Germany. Besides feeling surprised, I think there is a strong bond linking us together.
With the enthusiasm and curiosity of knowing more about the outside world, I accepted this video exchange activity willingly. Through some connections on the net, the topic of the first video was decided on, that is ¡®Self Introduction¡¯. Then came a great Friday afternoon when we had our program of self-introduction videoed happily on the grass. Then some shots of exciting moment of Art Festival were caught into the video.
The students themselves mainly accomplished these video activities. Here we want to say thanks to the teachers of the TV Station for their instructions of video and editing. We posted our video in Christmas time and almost at the same time we received the video from Germany. It¡¯s so great. Though it was Friday afternoon, the time for the students going back home, all the students agreed to stay late to watch this video. The school life from the other country attracted us a lot, football, horsing, boxing and the scene of the Cologne city. We enjoyed it very much. The desire to
communicate with our exotic friends became stronger. Just like YuJiaqing, a student of our class, said,¡®This video is just a beginning¡¯.£¬we all believe that we will have more and deeper communication in the coming days.
